Legal Bases

The law on data protection sets out a number of different reasons for which a company may collect and process your personal data including:

1.     Consent; in specific circumstances we can collect and process your data with your consent.

When collecting your personal data, we will always make clear to you which data is necessary in connection with a particular transaction.

2.     Contractual Obligations; in certain circumstances we need your personal data to comply with contractual obligations. For example, if you order an item or items from us for delivery, we will collect your address details to deliver your purchase and pass them to our courier.

3.     Legal Compliance; if the law requires us to, we may need to collect and process your data. For example we can pass on details of people involved in fraud or other criminal activity affecting the Partnership to law enforcement.

4.     Legitimate Interest; In specific situations, we require data to pursue our legitimate interests in a way which might reasonably be expected as part of running our business and which does not materially impact your rights, freedoms or interests. For example, we may use your address, e-mail address and telephone number to send you direct marketing information to inform you of products and services that we think might interest you.

When do we collect your data?

1.     When you ask for the company to e-mail you information about a product or service.

2.     When you purchase a product or service by phone or e-mail.

3.     When you contact us by any means with queries, complaints etc.

4.     When you have given a third party permission to share with us the information that they hold about you that is relevant to a transaction of any sort.

If we don’t collect your personal data during checkout, we will not be able to process your order and comply with our legal obligations. For example, your details (name and address) may need to be passed to a third party to deliver the product that you have ordered and we keep your details for a reasonable period afterwards in order to fulfil any contractual obligations such as refunds etc.

2.     To respond to your queries, refunds requests and complaints. Handling the information you have given us helps us to respond quickly and efficiently.
